KARACHI (Web Desk): The judicial commission investigating the Mir Raza Ali murder case has summoned seven key witnesses to appear before the panel and record their statements.

The witnesses include two police officers, an online taxi driver, business partners and friends of Mir Raza Ali.

The commission, headed by Sindh High Court Justice Omar Sial, has asked all seven witnesses to appear before the panel on September 3.

Their statements could provide further information about the events surrounding Mir Raza Ali’s disappearance and death.

Police officers among summoned witnesses

The judicial commission has summoned the SDPO of Shahrah-e-Faisal and the SHO of Ferozabad for questioning.

Both police officials have been directed to appear before the commission and record their statements as part of the ongoing investigation.

An online taxi driver identified as Ehsan has also been called before the panel.

The commission is expected to seek information from the witnesses that may help clarify the circumstances surrounding the case.

Mir Raza Ali’s business partners Muhammad Ahmed and Abdullah Bharde have also been summoned.

Their appearance may help investigators understand his activities and movements before his disappearance.

Friends also called to record statements

The commission has also summoned two of Mir Raza Ali’s friends, Razzaq and Haseem.

All seven witnesses have been directed to appear on September 3, making the upcoming hearing an important stage in the ongoing proceedings.

The witnesses represent different parts of Mir Raza Ali’s life, including his professional connections, friendships and interactions with authorities.

Their statements could help the commission compare different accounts and establish a clearer timeline of events.

The panel is continuing to examine evidence and testimony as it investigates the circumstances of the murder case.

Family members previously testified

Earlier proceedings included statements from Mir Raza Ali’s family members and Edhi volunteers.

During the hearing, the commission called his father, Mir Hussain, to the rostrum and asked when the family first realised that his son was missing.

Mir Hussain told the panel that his wife was in a better position to explain the circumstances surrounding their son’s disappearance.

His statement was followed by testimony from Mir Raza Ali’s mother, who provided details about the early hours when the family became concerned about him.

She told the commission that she received a call from his friend Haitham at around 4:14am.

According to her account, Haitham informed her that Mir Raza had deleted all of his social media accounts.

Mother describes discovery at home

Mir Raza Ali’s mother also told the commission that his fiancée contacted her because he was not responding to messages.

The family then checked his room and found that his keys and most of his belongings were still there.

However, Mir Raza himself was not at home, increasing the family’s concern about his whereabouts.

His friends Razzaq, Shehry and Kazim later arrived at the house and joined the search for him.

The testimony has helped the commission understand what happened during the first hours after the family became aware of his disappearance.

The panel is now seeking statements from additional witnesses as it continues examining the case.

What the next hearing could reveal

The appearance of police officials, the taxi driver, business associates and friends could provide several different perspectives on the case.

The commission may compare their statements with the testimony already given by family members and other witnesses.

This could help investigators identify gaps or contradictions in the accounts surrounding Mir Raza Ali’s disappearance.

The September 3 proceedings are therefore expected to be significant for the ongoing judicial probe.

However, the commission has yet to announce any final findings in the case.
