In his petition, former MPA Mahinder Pall Singh says that Sarbajeet Kaur’s disappearance, followed by her marriage to a man from Nankana Sahib, has turned the issue into a sensitive matter. He claims there is fear she may even be an Indian spy.
Singh argues that despite having a criminal record, the Indian government still cleared Kaur for travel, which he believes raises further suspicion of possible espionage. He adds that her stay in Pakistan is illegal because her single-entry visa issued for pilgrimage has already expired.
The petition requests the court to order security agencies to take Kaur into custody and launch a thorough investigation. After questioning her, Singh wants the authorities to immediately deport her.
Justice Farooq Haider is set to hear the petition as an ‘objection case’ after the registrar office flagged certain issues.

Sarbajeet Kaur, 48, entered Pakistan through the Wahgha border to attend the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Gurdwara Janamasthan. She later embraced Islam, took the name Noor, and married a Pakistani citizen, Nasir Hussain. The couple earlier approached the LHC seeking protection from alleged police harassment, and the court had stopped the police from disturbing them.
This case has become sensitive because the woman crossed from India, changed her religion, and married in Pakistan very quickly. The petitioner thinks this behaviour is unusual and wants authorities to check if there is any hidden agenda. At the same time, the couple insists they simply want to live without police trouble. The court’s decision may set an example for similar visa and security-related disputes in the future.
