Imran Khan treatment case hearing live: SC demands medical record
Court also asks for family meeting and children’s call details
A three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed heard the case concerning the former prime minister’s health and meetings with his relatives.
Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim were also part of the bench. During the hearing, PTI lawyers presented Imran Khan’s medical reports before the court.
Supreme Court seeks Imran Khan medical records as health case takes new turn
Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan asked whether angiography could be performed inside jail. The Islamabad Advocate General said Imran Khan would be shifted to a hospital if such a procedure became necessary.
Justice Shahid Waheed noted that the report mentioned an issue with the echocardiogram. He also pointed to increased anxiety, abnormal heart rate and blood pressure.
The court was told that doctors examine Imran Khan three times a day
The judges questioned why health problems were still being reported despite regular medical checks. The court also asked whether doctors’ recommendations for more family meetings had been followed.

Justice Shahid Waheed questioned why the authorities had not provided the full Imran Khan medical record. He said the material submitted to the court appeared to be only a summary.
The Supreme Court ordered authorities to submit the complete Imran Khan medical record before the next hearing.
The court further observed that once the complete record is submitted, it would no longer remain confidential.
Court seeks details of family meetings
The court also asked why directions issued by the Islamabad High Court were not being followed?
The government representative told the court that Imran Khan’s sisters had been allowed 48 meetings during the past three years. The Supreme Court has now sought complete details of meetings involving Imran Khan sisters.
Children’s calls also under review
The court also ordered authorities to provide records of Imran Khan children calls.
His lawyer, Uzair Bhandari, requested permission for his sisters to meet him and said they would not speak to the media.

Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan stressed that PTI should not politicise the former prime minister’s health.
The lawyer also requested permission for Uzma Khan and Dr Asim Yousuf to meet Imran Khan. He further sought a complete medical examination at Shifa International Hospital.
