Imran Khan health report reveals major eye treatment update
The two-page report provides details about the former prime minister’s medical care, eyesight treatment and meetings with his family and lawyers while he remains in prison.
According to jail authorities, Khan is regularly examined by medical officers and several government-appointed doctors.
The report said specialist medical consultations are also arranged whenever required. His medical examination records are being maintained by the jail administration.
Eye condition improves after treatment
The report specifically addressed concerns about Khan’s eyesight and said he had been receiving treatment from an ophthalmologist.
It stated that “one of Imran’s eyes has now become almost normal” following the treatment.
The report did not provide detailed information about the original eye problem or explain what specific treatment was given.
Jail authorities said Khan is examined three times a day. These checks include monitoring his food and fluid intake as part of his regular medical care.
The report also included details of examinations conducted by 39 different medical specialists between November 4, 2023 and August 10, 2026.
This information is expected to be considered by the Supreme Court as it reviews concerns about Khan’s health and medical treatment in prison.
Meetings with Bushra Bibi and lawyers
The jail report also discussed Khan’s meetings with his wife, Bushra Bibi, and members of his legal team.
According to the report, Khan and Bushra are allowed to meet every Tuesday under the applicable jail rules.
The report said the couple had held 84 meetings at the prison so far.
It also recorded meetings between Khan and his lawyer Salman Safdar. The lawyer reportedly met him on February 10 and April 4, 2026.
Jail authorities also referred to an assurance allegedly given by lawyer Salman Akram Raja before the Islamabad High Court.
According to the report, Raja had assured the court that he would not speak to the media inside the jail after meeting Khan.
The jail administration claimed that media discussions were later held despite the court’s order.
Jail authorities raise concerns over meetings
The report also referred to a ruling by an Islamabad High Court single-member bench in the Sher Afzal case.
Jail authorities cited the ruling in connection with “Rule 265 of the jail rules”, which they said had been declared unlawful.
The administration further alleged that discussions during some prison meetings were used to influence public opinion about the judiciary, foreign policy and law enforcement agencies.
These statements are part of the jail administration’s report and remain allegations rather than findings established by the Supreme Court.
The court is expected to consider the claims alongside Khan’s legal team’s concerns about his access to family members, lawyers and medical care.

Supreme Court to examine health concerns
The report was submitted ahead of a Supreme Court hearing concerning Khan’s health and prison meetings.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed is scheduled to hear the petition on Tuesday.
The judges are expected to examine the jail administration’s account and consider whether the current arrangements meet legal and medical requirements.
The case could also provide an opportunity for the court to seek further information about Khan’s treatment and specialist examinations.
The medical details are particularly important because questions about the PTI founder’s health and access to medical specialists have remained part of the wider legal debate surrounding his imprisonment.
