Imran Khan returns to Adiala Jail after eye treatment at PIMS
At PIMS, he underwent his fourth intravitreal eye injection as part of ongoing treatment for an eye condition. Doctors carried out a full examination before the procedure and confirmed that he was clinically stable.
Medical officials said an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) scan showed signs of improvement in his condition. The injection was administered in the operation theatre under microscope guidance, following standard medical safety procedures.
Hospital authorities said the procedure was carried out as a day-care treatment. Imran Khan remained stable before, during, and after the injection. After completing the procedure, he was discharged with medical advice, follow-up instructions, and proper documentation. He was later shifted back to Adiala Jail early Tuesday morning.
This treatment is part of his ongoing eye care plan. Earlier, he was brought to PIMS on March 23 for his third injection after medical evaluation. Before that, on March 18, a five-member medical board examined him at Adiala Jail under court orders.

According to medical reports submitted to the Supreme Court, Imran Khan is suffering from central retinal vein occlusion, a serious eye condition caused by blockage in the main retinal vein. The condition is linked to health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol.
The report also states that the former prime minister has reportedly lost around 85% vision in his right eye.
Imran Khan, 73, has been in custody since August 2023. He was convicted in multiple cases, which he and his party claim are politically motivated. He continues to deny all allegations and has filed appeals in several cases.
