The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the formation of a medical board while hearing a petition seeking the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court heard the request regarding Imran Khan’s transfer from jail to a hospital for medical evaluation. During the proceedings, the Advocate General Islamabad presented the Supreme Court’s order before the bench.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir questioned whether a medical check-up had been conducted prior to February 16. Advocate General Ayaz Shaukat informed the court that a medical examination had already been carried out but the Supreme Court had not accepted the request for access to Imran Khan’s personal physicians.
