Abdullah Tahir murder case takes new turn as another woman arrested
Police sources said the victim was allegedly targeted with the help of two women. Investigators believe both women played an important role in supporting the suspected shooters.
Two women allegedly linked to case
According to police sources, two women allegedly helped plan the killing of Abdullah Tahir in Lahore. They reportedly used social media platforms, different tools and mobile applications to assist the suspected shooters’ gang.
Police have arrested the woman who allegedly trapped the victim’s driver as well as another woman. Investigators have found important information from the social media accounts of both suspects.
The second woman in custody reportedly has a strong command of the Pashto language. Police have seized the mobile phones of both women and are working with experts to recover deleted data from the devices.
Digital evidence gives investigators new leads
Investigators say information obtained from the women has provided important leads about the alleged murder plan. The evidence is also being examined to understand the possible motive behind the targeted attack and identify other people who may have been involved.
Police are checking the digital information alongside other evidence collected during the investigation. The authorities are also taking steps to trace other suspected individuals connected with the case.
Investigation continues
Further questioning of the arrested women is underway as investigators examine their links and activities. Police are also studying social media accounts and recovered mobile data to establish a clearer picture of the alleged crime.
Officials say the investigation is continuing from different angles. More arrests could follow if investigators establish the involvement of other suspects through digital and other evidence.
The arrest of a second woman has added a new dimension to the Abdullah Tahir murder case. The focus of investigators now appears to be on understanding how the suspects allegedly communicated and supported the planned attack.
The recovery of deleted mobile data could prove important if it provides evidence linking more people to the case. However, the allegations remain part of an ongoing police investigation until the evidence is fully established.
