Addressing the meeting, Maryam Nawaz stated that the Nigehban Ramazan Package is the right of the needy and deserving, and it is the government’s responsibility to deliver it. She emphasized that people should not have to stand in long queues to benefit from this package. Instead, their rights should be given to them with dignity and respect.

The Chief Minister instructed that the registration process for the Nigehban Ramadan Package should be carried out, and the process should be completed by February 15, with a report submitted thereafter.

She further stated that serving the public during Ramazan for the pleasure of Allah Almighty is a noble act. Administration and relevant authorities should perform their duties with dedication, not as a responsibility but as a form of “worship”.

It is worth noting that during the meeting, officials briefed that registration in the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) system is mandatory for the Nigehban Ramazan Package.

The meeting revealed that registration can be done online from the comfort of one’s home via an online portal. Additionally, people can register at Union Council and Municipal Office centers. A helpline (0800-02345) has also been established for assistance regarding the Ramazan Package.
