30,000 youth to get overseas job opportunities under new skills plan
Overseas employment plan
The Balochistan government has decided to speed up its programme to train 30,000 young people and send them abroad for employment. It has also approved a separate plan to provide technical training to 25,000 youth in different fields.
The decisions were made during a meeting of the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority, chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting reviewed technical education, skills development and ways to create more job opportunities for young people.
New portal to support technical institutes
Officials informed the meeting that an institute registration portal had started working. The portal is designed to make registration easier for relevant technical and vocational training institutions.
The meeting also stressed the need to teach modern skills that match the requirements of local and international job markets. The aim is to prepare young people for better employment opportunities in different sectors.
Training programme for 25,000 youth approved
Officials confirmed that the plan to provide technical training to 25,000 young people had been approved. The government also decided to accelerate work on the programme to train 30,000 youth for overseas employment.
These initiatives aim to improve young people’s professional skills and help them find jobs. However, the government has not yet announced which countries or industries will receive the trained workers.
Delays in youth skills programme raise concern
The meeting also reviewed slow progress under the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Programme. The authorities decided to take action against those responsible for delays in achieving its targets.
Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti directed officials to provide quality technical training based on modern standards and market needs. He said the focus should be on preparing young people to secure better employment opportunities.
The plans could help young people in Balochistan gain practical skills and find jobs in Pakistan and abroad. However, their success will depend on the quality of training and whether suitable jobs are available.
The government still needs to share details about overseas destinations, job sectors and implementation dates. Clear information will help young people understand how they can benefit from the programmes.
