According to the university, a total of 39,986 students registered for the test, out of which 38,447 appeared. This represents a strong attendance rate of 96 percent, which officials say is higher than in previous years.
University officials confirmed that the exam was conducted in a transparent and peaceful environment. However, one case of “Unfair Means (UFM)” was reported and referred to the concerned authority for further review.
As per the results, 894 students scored between 170 and 180 marks, placing them among the top-performing candidates this year.
Statistics show that 53.26 percent of students qualified for MBBS admissions, while 58.43 percent became eligible for the BDS program. KMU officials added that the final merit list will be released soon, and admissions to both public and private medical colleges will begin in the coming weeks.
A KMU spokesperson said special arrangements were made for the exam across the province, including in Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swat, Kohat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan. Each center was equipped with advanced scanning and monitoring systems to prevent cheating and irregularities.

The spokesperson further explained that a computerized system was used for result compilation, minimizing the chances of errors. He added that the purpose of MDCAT is to select the most talented and capable students for the medical field so Pakistan can have skilled doctors and dentists in the future.
The MDCAT 2025 results show a clear improvement in participation and exam management. KMU’s focus on fairness and technology reflects growing trust in Pakistan’s medical testing system. With more than half of the candidates qualifying, the future looks hopeful for the next generation of healthcare professionals.
