83 Pakistani students win Cambridge ‘Top in the World’ award

KARACHI (Web Desk): A total of 83 Pakistani students has made the nation proud by winning ‘Top in the World’ awards from Cambridge International.

Cambridge announced the results during a ceremony held in Karachi, celebrating the achievements of students who excelled in IGCSE, O Level, and International AS & A Level examinations.

Across Pakistan, 317 students received 355 awards, including 83 ‘Top in the World’, 63 ‘Top in Country’, and 11 ‘High Achievement’ awards for exceptional performance across a wide range of subjects.

From Sindh and Balochistan alone, 106 learners secured 120 awards. Among them, 26 achieved the highest marks globally, while 53 ranked top within their provinces.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards recognize academic excellence among students from more than 40 countries worldwide.

Cambridge stated that its qualifications equip students with strong foundations for higher education and help them develop essential skills needed for success in a global environment.

Country Director for International Education at Cambridge Pakistan, Uzma Yousuf, praised the students’ hard work and resilience, saying:

“These results are a reflection of not only the learners’ dedication but also the support from teachers, schools, and families.”

She added that as technology and innovation continue to transform education, such achievements demonstrate how strong learning foundations shape confident and adaptable future leaders.

The awards also acknowledged students who excelled in less common subjects, as well as those who obtained the highest cumulative marks across multiple papers, outperforming thousands of candidates globally.
