MDCAT 2026: Registration portal to reopen from August 17
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced another opportunity for candidates seeking admission to medical and dental colleges to register for the MDCAT 2026 examination.
According to the council, the online registration portal will reopen from August 17 and remain active until August 21, 2026. The facility is intended for candidates who could not complete their registration during the original registration period.
Eligible applicants will be able to complete the registration process after paying the prescribed fee through the designated procedure. PMDC has advised candidates to ensure that all required information and documents are submitted correctly.
The council has also clarified that it reserves the right to cancel incomplete applications. Candidates are therefore advised to carefully review their forms before submitting them.
MDCAT 2026 is scheduled to be held on September 20, 2026. PMDC has already issued notices to the universities responsible for conducting the examination.
The test is an important requirement for students seeking admission to medical and dental programmes in Pakistan. Thousands of candidates are expected to compete for limited seats at medical and dental colleges.
The reopening of the registration portal is expected to provide relief to students who missed the earlier deadline and were concerned about losing their opportunity to appear in the entrance examination.
Candidates should complete their registration within the announced five-day window to avoid last-minute technical or payment-related problems.
PMDC has advised applicants to obtain official information about registration, fees, examination procedures and other requirements through its official website.
Students are also encouraged to keep their payment details and registration information safe for future reference and to regularly check official PMDC updates regarding the examination schedule.
