Islamabad orders ban on controversial O-Level book

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Islamabad authorities have enforced a controversial O-Level book ban across all schools in the federal capital, ordering immediate removal of the textbook from classrooms and libraries.

The decision regarding the Islamabad textbook ban was taken by the ICT Administration Islamabad after concerns were raised about the content of the book.

Officials said the controversial O-Level book ban targets the textbook titled “The History and Culture of Pakistan,” which was reportedly being used in some private schools without approval.

According to authorities, the Islamabad textbook ban means no school can keep or teach this book without an official NOC or permission.

The administration clarified that private schools are not allowed to include any material in their syllabus without proper approval.

Inspection teams have now been formed to ensure full implementation of the controversial O-Level book ban in all educational institutions.

These teams will visit private schools and check whether the Islamabad textbook ban order has been properly followed.

Officials warned that strict legal action will be taken against schools that fail to comply with the controversial O-Level book ban.

Bookshop owners have also been directed to remove the book from sale and stop further distribution under the Islamabad textbook ban rules.

Authorities said selling or using unapproved academic material is a violation of education regulations.

The controversial O-Level book ban has sparked debate among parents and educators about curriculum control and approval processes.
