Rawalpindi woman killed at home, husband and worker arrested
Police said the incident took place in the Civil Lines area of Rawalpindi. The woman, identified as Hina, had been married around nine months before her death.
According to the family’s complaint, the woman’s body was found inside the bathroom after her relatives were informed about the incident. Her hands were reportedly tied behind her back, while a cloth had been placed over her mouth.
Family alleges murder was staged as suicide
The victim’s brother said he received a call from his sister’s father-in-law and went to the house. When he arrived, he found his sister’s body lying inside the bathroom.
The family alleged that those responsible tried to make the death appear to be a suicide. Police are now examining the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and the evidence collected from the house.
The victim’s brother also alleged that her husband had mistreated her in the past. He claimed the husband had another marriage and that his first wife had previously obtained a divorce.
Police have so far arrested the victim’s husband and the domestic worker in connection with the case. Investigators are questioning the suspects to determine what happened before the woman’s death.
Police await post-mortem report
Police said Hina’s post-mortem examination has been completed, while the medical report is still awaited. The report is expected to help investigators establish the cause and circumstances of death.
Officials said evidence was collected from the crime scene and different aspects of the case are being investigated. Police have not yet announced a final conclusion about the motive or the exact sequence of events.
The investigation is expected to consider the family’s allegations, the statements of the suspects and the forensic evidence collected from the house.

Family demands arrest of father-in-law
The victim’s family has also demanded the arrest of her father-in-law, Asghar Ali. They said he has been nominated in the case but has not yet been arrested.
The family has urged Punjab Police to investigate the case fairly and take action against everyone found responsible. They also called for all legal requirements to be followed so the family can receive justice.
Police are continuing their investigation, while the post-mortem findings and other evidence will be important in determining how the woman died.
