LAHORE: (Suno News) The brother-in-law of Khawaja Tareef Gulshan, commonly known as Teefi Butt, was shot dead Monday while his sister was injured critically in firing by unidentified gunmen in Lahore.

It is to be noted here that Teefi Butt is nominated in the Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case. Balaj was shot dead by a gunman at a wedding ceremony near Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore.

After Balaj’s murder, Teefi Butt moved from Lahore to Islamabad, then to Dubai, and two weeks later to London. Along with the travel history, the police also found evidence of Teefi Butt’s presence in London.

Last month, Ahsan Shah, the prime suspect in the Balaj Tipu murder case, was killed in an alleged police encounter in the Shad Bagh area of Lahore.

According to Lahore police, Ahsan Shah was being escorted by a CIA team for the recovery of evidence related to the case when his accomplices allegedly opened fire on the CIA team near Shad Bagh.

The police fired back in retaliation, and during the exchange of fire, Ahsan Shah sustained critical injuries in firing by his accomplices who managed to escape under the cover of darkness.

As the firing stopped, Shah was shifted to Lahore’s Mayo Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries. The police shifted his body to a mortuary and registered a case against his accomplices who attacked the CIA team.

The death of Ahsan Shah, who was in police custody in the Balaj Tipu murder case, raised questions about the conduct of the police.

The authorities concerned are yet to provide a comprehensive account of the events that led to his killing by ‘accomplices’ in police custody.

Ahsan Shah was arrested by the CIA Lahore in March 2024 in connection with the murder of Ameer Balaj, son of the late underworld figure Tipu Truckanwala.

Shah, identified as a close friend of Balaj, allegedly provided information about Balaj’s whereabouts to the rival group.
