Andrew Garfield reveals why he still hasn’t watched Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Andrew Garfield is still waiting
Andrew Garfield has admitted that he has not seen Spider-Man: Brand New Day yet, even though the Spider-Man movie has already reached cinemas.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the 43-year-old actor said he had heard very positive things about the film and was looking forward to watching it.
The actor explained that he has been away from the usual spotlight recently. This kept him from seeing some of the biggest films currently in theatres.
Why he has not watched it
When asked whether he was excited to watch the new film, Andrew Garfield gave a simple explanation.
"I haven’t seen it yet. I’ve been a bit off the grid, but thank God it’s still in theatres, so I’m going to try and see it."
He said he had also not watched The Odyssey, another major film featuring Tom Holland.
"I haven’t seen The Odyssey yet either. I’m the only person alive who hasn’t seen these movies, but I hear that they’re both phenomenal."
The actor added that he was excited to support his friends and celebrate the return of big-screen movies.
"So I’m very, very excited to go and support my friends. The movies are back, baby," he said.

Why Garfield has not contacted Holland
Tom Holland has been at the centre of the latest Spider-Man movie, but Garfield has chosen to wait before sending him a message about its success.
In a recent interview with Variety, Garfield explained that he did not want to contact Holland before watching the film himself.
“I don’t want to be disingenuous,” said Andrew. “A movie making money and people going to see it is an incredible thing, but I will reach out to him once I’ve seen [“Spider-Man”], which I’m very excited to see."
He also mentioned that he had not watched The Odyssey yet and planned to contact Holland after seeing his work.
"And his other film, ‘The Odyssey,’ I haven’t managed to see either yet. I will send him a message when I see the work he has done," he added.
