A video circulating on social media has taken the internet by storm, showing pop superstar Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau making their first public appearance as a couple.

The clip, originally shared on Instagram, features the caption: “It’s official, we are dating.”

According to TMZ, the 41-year-old singer and the 53-year-old politician were spotted together on Saturday, October 25, attending a cabaret show at Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate Perry’s birthday. Photos from the night show the pair walking hand in hand, smiling at photographers, Perry dazzling in a red dress while Trudeau opted for an all-black look.

This marks their first official public outing after months of speculation surrounding their relationship.

It is pertinent to note that rumors began earlier this year when the two were seen dining together in Montreal, Canada. At the time, Perry had recently called off her engagement to actor Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau had separated from his wife Sophie Grégoire in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

The speculation intensified in September, when the duo was photographed sharing a kiss aboard a yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. Sources told People Magazine that Trudeau had been “pursuing” Perry since their first meeting in Montreal, adding that the two share an “effortless connection.”

Currently, Perry is on her Lifetimes World Tour, performing hits like “Roar,” “Firework,” and “California Gurls.” Her Paris outing with Trudeau has fans buzzing, marking not just a birthday celebration, but also the public debut of a surprising new power couple.
