(Web Desk): Netflix raises subscription prices again across all plans, marking the second hike in a year and making streaming more expensive for users.

Netflix has increased the prices of all its subscription plans, adding more pressure on users already dealing with rising costs. The ad-supported standard plan has gone up by $1 and now costs $8.99 per month.

The standard plan without ads and the premium plan have both increased by $2, now priced at $19.99 and $26.99. The company has also raised the “extra member” fee by $1, making it $7.99 for ad plans and $9.99 for ad-free plans.

These new prices were updated on Netflix’s official help page and later reported by media sources.

This is the second time Netflix has increased its prices in just over a year, showing a clear trend of rising subscription costs.

Other streaming platforms are also following the same pattern. Recently, Amazon increased prices for its Prime Video service and changed some features.

Similarly, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max have also raised their subscription costs in the past year. Streaming companies often say that price increases are needed to invest in new shows and movies.

However, many users now feel that streaming is no longer a cheaper alternative to traditional cable TV.
