Muneeb Butt declared innocent in high-profile crypto robbery case
Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt has been declared innocent by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in a case involving the alleged robbery of cryptocurrency after investigators found no evidence connecting him to the offence.
During the court proceedings, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) submitted a seven-page interim charge sheet before the administrative judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court in connection with the alleged kidnapping and cryptocurrency robbery case.
According to the prosecution, the accused allegedly abducted complainant Muhammad Mutaal from Shahrah-e-Faisal on April 23 and robbed him of cryptocurrency and other valuables worth Rs2.494 million.

The prosecution stated that the suspects later abandoned the complainant in the Korangi Industrial Area before fleeing the scene. The interim charge sheet declared Muneeb Butt innocent. Investigators said the allegation that he had provided accommodation to the suspects in Murree could not be substantiated during the investigation.
The charge sheet further stated that police official Ghalib has been declared an absconder, while suspects Shahid Sattar, Muhammad Saleem, Aleem, and Wazir Muhammad have been arrested. Meanwhile, Muneeb Butt, Mohsin Rajpar, and Abdul Rehman Chandio remain out on bail as legal proceedings in the case continue.
