The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs21,100 to reach Rs551,662, setting a historic record in the local bullion market.

At the same time, 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs18,090 to Rs472,961, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs16,583 to settle at Rs433,563, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Silver prices also moved upward alongside gold. The price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs271 to Rs11,911, while 10 grams of silver climbed by Rs232 to Rs10,211.
In the global market, gold prices jumped by $211 to touch a fresh record of $5,293 per ounce. Silver prices also gained $2.71, reaching $114.36 per ounce, the association reported.
