Gold prices fall again in Pakistan
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the gold price per tola fell by Rs2,500, bringing the new rate to Rs422,036.
The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased. It dropped by Rs2,144 to reach Rs361,827 in the local market. The gold prices in Pakistan have now fallen for the second consecutive day.
Gold Rates Decline for the Second Day
Gold prices had already recorded a major decline on Friday. The price of one tola fell by Rs7,000, reaching Rs424,536.
The latest reduction means the gold rate today is lower than it was at the start of the weekend. The continued fall may attract people who have delayed jewellery purchases because of high prices.
However, market rates can change quickly, depending on international prices, currency movements and local market conditions. Buyers should check the latest rates with jewellers before making a purchase.
International Gold Prices Also Fall
Gold prices also moved downward in the international market. According to the reported figures, the price of gold fell by $25 per ounce to $3,995.
Changes in international gold prices often affect the gold price per tola in Pakistan. Local prices are also influenced by the exchange rate and other market factors.

The latest decline in global rates was followed by another reduction in Pakistan’s gold market. Whether the gold prices in Pakistan will continue to fall depends on how international markets perform in the coming days.
Silver Prices Also Record a Drop
Gold was not the only precious metal to become cheaper. Silver prices also declined in Pakistan.
The price of silver fell by Rs7 per tola to Rs5,858, according to the reported market figures.
Although the reduction was smaller than the fall in gold prices, it showed that silver rates were also moving downward.
What Does the Latest Drop Mean for Buyers?
The fall in the gold rate today may offer some relief to people planning to buy jewellery or invest in gold. However, prices remain high despite the recent reductions.
People should compare the latest market rates before buying gold or silver. Jewellery prices may also include making charges and other costs, which can increase the final amount paid by customers.
