Dollar appreciates against Pakistani rupee in interbank trading

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The US Dollar on Tuesday appreciated by 02 paisa against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank trading.

The local currency closed at Rs 284.97 against the previous day’s closing Rs 284.95, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the dollar in the open market stood at Rs 287.20 and Rs 288.70, respectively.

The price of the Euro decreased by Rs 0.47 to close at Rs 331.18 against the last day’s closing of Rs 331.65, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The Japanese yen gained 01 paisa and closed at Rs 1.93, whereas a surge of Rs0.91 was witnessed in the exchange rate of the British Pound, which was traded at Rs 383.95 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs 383.04.

The exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal remained stagnant to close at Rs 77.58 and Rs 75.96, respectively.
