World Bank delegation arrives in Pakistan to discuss economic development projects

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) A high-level delegation from the World Bank (WB) has reached Pakistan to discuss various projects with high officials.

The delegation is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb, and Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema.

The WB delegation has come to Pakistan after almost ten years. The delegation will also visit all provinces to take input from the provincial governments.

As per media reports, World Bank delegation consists of Executive Directors from the World Bank Group. The delegation will also meet the Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and Minister for Energy.

The officials from the World Bank will discuss investment opportunities and economic development projects. During the meetings, the strategy for implementing the Country Partnership Framework will also be discussed.

The Country Partnership Framework is expected to increase to $40 billion.
