Geely Auto enters Pakistan with Galaxy EX5 and EX2 electric cars
Chinese automaker Geely Auto has officially started its journey in Pakistan by appointing Bestway Group as the exclusive importer and distributor of its Geely Galaxy brand. The move marks another major step in the expansion of electric vehicles in the country.
As part of its first phase, the company plans to introduce two battery-electric vehicles in the third quarter of 2026. These include the Galaxy EX5 compact SUV and the Galaxy EX2 compact hatchback, targeting customers looking for modern and environmentally friendly transport.
Under the agreement, Bestway Group will manage vehicle homologation, dealership development, sales, after-sales services and customer support. This means customers will receive local assistance for purchasing, maintenance and other services after the launch.
Geely’s entry becomes easier because Bestway already has an established automotive network in Pakistan. The company strengthened its position after acquiring Al-Haj Automotive, giving Geely access to an existing sales and service infrastructure across the country.
Industry experts believe Geely’s future in Pakistan will depend on more than just attractive prices. Buyers will also expect spare parts to be readily available, dependable after-sales support and a strong dealership network that can build long-term confidence.

The arrival of the Galaxy EX5 and Galaxy EX2 is also expected to increase competition in Pakistan’s electric SUV and compact hatchback markets. More competition could encourage companies to improve quality, introduce better technology and offer more attractive prices to customers.
Pakistan’s electric vehicle market is growing steadily as more international brands enter the country. If Geely delivers reliable service, affordable ownership costs and a strong support network, it could become a serious competitor and give buyers more choices in the EV market.
