(Web Desk): Deepal has showcased S05 Comfort Variant in Pakistan, raising questions about a possible launch as test vehicles appear in showrooms.

Deepal has displayed its S05 Comfort Variant at selected dealerships across Pakistan. This has created curiosity among customers who are now expecting a more affordable SUV option soon.

The company has clarified that these vehicles are only for testing and internal evaluation. It said there is no confirmed plan to launch this variant for sale at the moment.

However, dealership staff are still showing the vehicle to visitors. Some are even suggesting that pricing details may be revealed if the company decides to move forward with a launch.

Market estimates suggest the expected price could range between Rs9,000,000 and Rs9,500,000. This would place it below the S05 REEV Premium, which is currently priced at Rs10,000,000 ex-factory.

The Comfort variant focuses on basic features and comfort. It does not include several premium options such as advanced driver assistance systems, panoramic roof, powered tailgate, memory seats, and wireless charging.

If introduced, the SUV will compete with models like Honda HR-V e:HEV, Toyota Corolla Cross, Haval Jolion HEV, and BYD Atto 3 in the mid-premium category.

Experts say a simpler and lower-priced SUV could attract buyers who want comfort without extra features. It may especially appeal to people upgrading from smaller cars.

For now, the company maintains that the variant is still under review, and no launch date has been confirmed.

This looks like a soft market test. Ht Ecompany wants to see customer response first. Lower price can increase demand quickly. But final launch decision is still unclear.
