As per official sources, the government has also allocated Rs842 billion for the annual development programme in the budget.
It has also allocated Rs150 billion for the road infrastructure, Rs600 billion for the education sector, Rs406 billion for health projects, Rs65 billion for local governments, and Rs27 billion for the Irrigation Department.
The government has also earmarked Rs597 billion for salaries, Rs447 billion for pensions, Rs30 billion for the Ramadan Package, and Rs8 billion for the CBD.

Similarly, Rs9.8 billion has been earmarked for the “Chief Minister’s Roshan Gharana” programme, Rs7 billion for the “Apni Chat, Apna Ghar” programme, Rs40 billion for Green Pakistan Initiative, and Rs1 billion for Endowment Fund for journalists.
The government has set the tax collection target for the Punjab Revenue Authority at Rs300 billion, Rs105 billion for the Board of Revenue, and Rs55 billion for the Excise Department.
It has also set aside Rs121 billion for the repayment of foreign loans.
According to a notification by issued the Punjab Assembly secretariat, the budget session will start at 2pm today, and Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman will present the budget in the assembly session.
