Al Kharaj (Web Desk): Two foreign nationals were killed in Saudi Arabia after a projectile hit a residential building in Al-Kharj as regional tensions linked to the Iran conflict continue to grow.

Saudi civil defence officials said an unspecified “military projectile” landed in a residential area of Al-Kharj city. The incident killed two foreign nationals, one from India and one from Bangladesh, while 12 other people were injured.

Authorities did not directly name Iran in their statement. However, the attack happened as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had earlier announced strikes targeting radar systems in several locations, including the Al-Kharj governorate.

Al-Kharj is an important location because it hosts the Prince Sultan Airbase, a major military base used by United States forces. The area has reportedly faced repeated attacks during the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

According to reports from the region, the projectile landed on a residential compound used by a maintenance and cleaning company where many foreign workers lived.

Observers say the situation has become increasingly dangerous for residents across Gulf countries. The Gulf region hosts millions of expatriate workers from more than 200 nationalities, many of whom are laborers living near industrial or military facilities.

The conflict has now entered its ninth day. Iranian officials claimed they have enough resources to continue missile and drone attacks across the Middle East for up to six months.

Iran’s Health Ministry reported that at least 1,200 civilians have been killed and around 10,000 injured since the war between Iran and the United States and Israel began on February 28.
