(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump warns Iran of attacks on power plants and bridges if no deal is reached, escalating Strait of Hormuz tensions.

Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening large-scale attacks on critical infrastructure, including power plants and bridges, if a deal is not reached by Tuesday, significantly escalating tensions in the region.

In a statement shared on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump warned Iran to reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz or face severe consequences. He cautioned that failure to comply would result in conditions resembling “hell,” signaling a possible intensification of military action.

Trump Signals Imminent Military Action

Speaking to a US broadcaster, Trump expressed cautious optimism about a potential agreement with Iran, stating that Monday presents a “good chance” for a deal. However, he reiterated his earlier warning: reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face “the worst bombing.”

“I think there’s a good chance tomorrow. They are negotiating now,” Trump said, adding, “If they don’t make a deal soon, I will consider blowing everything up and taking control of the oil.”

The US president emphasized that failure to reach an agreement could result in widespread destruction across Iran, particularly targeting bridges and power infrastructure nationwide.

48-Hour Ultimatum and Rising Pressure

Earlier, Trump had issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, following a previous 10-day deadline to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. With time rapidly running out, he warned of catastrophic consequences if Tehran does not comply.

This is not the first time Trump has issued such threats. In the past, he has repeatedly warned Iran while also extending deadlines amid ongoing diplomatic mediation efforts.

Strategic Importance of Strait of Hormuz

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil transit chokepoints, making the situation highly sensitive for global energy markets. Any disruption could have far-reaching economic and geopolitical consequences.

Escalation or Diplomacy?

While Trump’s rhetoric signals a possible military escalation, his comments also indicate ongoing negotiations, leaving room for a diplomatic breakthrough before the deadline expires.
