(Web Desk): Former US President Donald Trump warns Iran and pledges support for protesters as Pentagon reportedly plans possible strikes.

Former US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that American support for Iranian protesters will arrive soon. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump urged patriotic Iranians to continue their protests and take control of their institutions.

Trump emphasized that the United States will not negotiate with Iranian authorities until the crackdown on demonstrators stops. He warned that the names of those responsible for killing protesters have been recorded and will face severe consequences.

Meanwhile, The New York Times reported that the Pentagon has submitted a plan to Trump outlining potential strikes on Iran. The briefing included options involving airstrikes, cyberattacks, and psychological operations. Possible targets mentioned include Iran’s nuclear facilities, ballistic missile sites, and internal security agencies. Officials noted that any attack could happen in the coming days, combining military, cyber, and psychological measures, but warned of strong Iranian retaliation.

In a parallel move, the US has imposed additional economic sanctions on Iran. Trump announced 25% tariffs on countries trading with Tehran, applying immediately to oil and other goods. The White House stated that full US military power against Iran could be used at any time, though Vice President JD Vance suggested exploring diplomacy before any strike.

Amid rising tensions, both the US and Australia have advised their citizens to leave Iran immediately. In response, China criticized potential US military action and trade sanctions, calling for respect of international law and Iran’s sovereignty. A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that Iran can manage the situation internally and warned that tariff wars have no winners, reaffirming Beijing’s support for stability in Iran.
