Qatari PM says high chance of US-Iran conflict solution
He made these remarks while speaking in an interview with an Arabic publication. He said that although both sides still have different positions, talks and communication are moving in a positive direction.
According to him, “positive progress” is being seen in the exchange of messages between Washington and Tehran, which is a hopeful sign for possible de-escalation.
He added that Qatar is closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with all relevant parties. He also confirmed that Doha is working with Pakistani mediators to help bridge differences between the two sides.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “We are monitoring developments and communicating with all parties, and despite the divergence in positions in both Tehran and Washington, we see a high possibility of reaching a diplomatic solution.”
He also stressed that any agreement between the US and Iran must protect the interests of Gulf countries and the wider international community.

According to him, stability in the region is very important, especially given the ongoing tensions linked to the Strait of Hormuz and its impact on global trade.
He further said, “Any US-Iran agreement must take into account the interests of the regional countries and the entire world, harmed by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.”
Reports suggest that Washington and Tehran may be moving closer to a basic framework understanding aimed at reducing tensions and possibly ending the conflict.
