Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi expressed appreciation to the government and people of Pakistan for standing with Iran.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, he said Iran values Pakistan’s support during what he described as aggression by the United States and Israel.
“On these blessed, divine, and spiritual moments of Ramazan, I sincerely thank the government and people of Pakistan for expressing full support and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran against US and Israeli aggression,” Araghchi said.
He added that Iran remains determined to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity with full faith in Allah Almighty.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s leadership has been actively engaging with regional countries as tensions continue to grow. Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan is in close contact with Muslim countries regarding the evolving situation in the region.
He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently held discussions with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on regional developments. The prime minister also visited Saudi Arabia as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting stability.
Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan has a defence agreement with Saudi Arabia and remains committed to it.

He expressed hope that talks between Saudi leaders and the Iranian president would help improve regional stability.
He also emphasized that Iran should avoid targeting Muslim countries, particularly Saudi Arabia.
Speaking about regional security, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan does not seek control over Afghanistan and has no intention of harming the country.
He said Pakistan’s main concern is to prevent any potential threats to its own security. The adviser also spoke about political developments inside Pakistan.
He said new governors for Sindh and Balochistan will be appointed from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He clarified that no promise had been made to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan regarding the position of governor in Sindh.
