Baghdad (Web Desk): Drone and rocket attacks hit Baghdad, Dubai, and Kuwait airports, killing 10 US soldiers as Gulf countries face rising drone threats.

A series of drone and rocket attacks targeted key airports in the Middle East, raising serious security concerns across the Gulf region. According to reports, Iraqi resistance forces launched drone and rocket strikes near Baghdad International Airport’s Victoria Base.

The attack reportedly killed 10 US soldiers and injured at least five others. Officials said the strikes triggered a fire near the base, while videos released by the group allegedly showed a drone hitting the military facility a day earlier.

At the same time, a fresh wave of drone attacks was reported in Gulf countries, including Dubai and Kuwait. Authorities in Kuwait confirmed that drones targeted Kuwait International Airport, damaging radar equipment.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense said security forces successfully shot down five drones, and no casualties were reported. Another drone reportedly targeted an Italian military base in Kuwait, but officials said the attack caused no damage.

Media reports also suggested that a US diplomatic center in Baghdad was among the locations targeted during the attacks.

In Dubai, a drone strike hit an oil tanker near Dubai International Airport, causing a fire. Authorities said the fire was quickly controlled, and no injuries were reported.

Flight operations at the airport were briefly suspended as a precaution before later resuming. The UAE Ministry of Defense said the country’s air defence systems intercepted four ballistic missiles and six drones on Sunday.

Officials added that security forces have been actively stopping such threats in recent weeks. Since February 28, authorities claim they have intercepted 298 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and about 1,600 drones.

The latest attacks have increased concerns about growing drone warfare in the Middle East. Security experts warn that airports, military bases, and energy facilities are becoming key targets in regional conflicts.
