TEHRAN (Web Desk): Iran reports killing of IRGC intelligence Chief Majid Khademi in a reported strike, raising tensions and security concerns.

According to a statement attributed to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and carried by the Fars news agency, Khademi was killed in what was described as a “terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy” in the early hours of Monday.

Reports from international media also suggest that Khademi may have been killed in a strike, although independent verification of the incident remains unclear.

Khademi was a Brigadier General in the IRGC and had been serving in senior intelligence roles. He led the Intelligence Protection Organization and the Intelligence Organization of the IRGC from 2022 to 2025, respectively.

He was appointed head of the IRGC intelligence division on 19 June 2025, replacing Mohammad Kazemi. Kazemi was reportedly killed earlier in Israeli airstrikes during a 12-day conflict.
