(Web Desk): Iran's foreign minister says the country will neither bow to threats nor sell its enriched uranium, stressing that negotiations should only follow strategic gains.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that Iran will neither surrender to threats nor incentives, making it clear that the country's enriched uranium is not for sale under any circumstances.

In an interview with Iran's state news agency IRNA, Araghchi said one of the most important decisions during any conflict is determining the right time to end fighting and begin negotiations. He stressed that such decisions must be based on careful military and political calculations rather than external pressure.

Negotiations should follow strategic success

The foreign minister said wars generally end in one of two ways: through a decisive military victory or through negotiations. According to him, meaningful negotiations should begin only after a country has achieved credible operational and strategic success on the battlefield.

Araghchi added that political leaders must continuously assess whether continuing a war will bring further advantages or cause greater damage to human lives and national interests.

Public safety remains a priority

He emphasized that the lives of citizens and the future of the country cannot be placed at unnecessary risk. Every major decision, he said, should be made after a full assessment of the costs and consequences.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East following recent military exchanges involving Iran and the United States. Diplomatic efforts to reduce the risk of further escalation continue, but major differences remain over Iran's nuclear program and regional security issues.

Analysts believe Araghchi's comments reflect Tehran's position that negotiations will only take place on terms it considers favorable, while reaffirming that Iran's nuclear assets remain a strategic national issue.
