Iran claims missile strike on US air base
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it launched multiple ballistic missiles at Jordan’s Al Azraq Air Base in response to what it described as a US attack on Qeshm Island.
According to an official IRGC statement, the missile strike caused severe damage to three US F-35 fighter jets stationed at the base.
The IRGC also claimed that several enemy officers and military personnel were killed in the attack. However, these claims have not been independently verified, and neither the United States nor Jordan has officially confirmed them.
Iran links attack to Qeshm Island
The IRGC said the missile attack was carried out in retaliation for what it described as a US strike on Iran’s Qeshm Island.
