Web Desk: The United Arab Emirates has introduced updated Dubai visa on arrival conditions, making it easier for eligible travelers to receive a visa after arriving in the country.

The revised Dubai visa rules explain who can apply and what documents are now required.

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) announced that eligible visitors can receive either a 14-day or a 60-day UAE visa on arrival after landing.

Officials said the updated system is designed to improve the travel experience while attracting more tourists and business visitors.

According to the new Dubai visa eligibility criteria, citizens of India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Kenya, and South Africa can apply for the facility. Their accompanying family members may also qualify if they meet the same conditions.

Applicants must hold an ordinary passport that remains valid for at least six months. They must also provide a recent passport-size photograph with a white background.

In addition, travelers must possess a valid residence permit issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, or Singapore. These updated Dubai visa rules are intended to make the screening process more transparent.

Officials said the 14-day Dubai visa on arrival can be extended once for another 14 days. However, the 60-day UAE visa on arrival cannot be extended after it has been issued.

Travelers can submit applications through the official GDRFA website or its smart mobile application. After approval, the visa is sent directly to the applicant’s registered email address. Authorities said most applications are processed within 48 hours under the updated UAE travel rules.

The fee for the 14-day Dubai tourist visa issued on arrival is AED172.50, while the 60-day Dubai tourist visa costs AED422.50. Officials encouraged travelers to review the latest Dubai visa eligibility requirements before applying to avoid delays.

The GDRFA said the updated Dubai visa on arrival programme aims to simplify travel procedures, support tourism, and encourage more international visitors.

Authorities added that these UAE travel rules are part of broader efforts to improve digital immigration services and make travel more convenient.

The programme has already seen strong demand. During the first six months of 2026, officials issued 73,551 visas under this facility.

The growing number of applications shows that the Dubai tourist visa programme continues to attract visitors from around the world, while the revised Dubai visa rules, Dubai visa eligibility, and UAE travel rules are helping travelers better understand the process for obtaining a UAE visa on arrival.
