It should be noted here that a few days ago, the German consulate suspended its visa service for an indefinite period.

The consulate had said that due to security reasons, the visa service would remain suspended until further orders.

It had added that the suspension was part of efforts to ensure the safety and security of both consulate staff and applicants.

Due to the closure of the visa service, students going to Germany for education were facing difficulties.

It is to be noted here that the visa service for European citizens was not suspended during that time.
