Pakistan seeks official confirmation
The Pakistan Foreign Office said it is closely monitoring the Qatar gas plant fire and has directed the Pakistan embassy Qatar to contact local authorities.
Reports suggest that several Pakistanis in Qatar and Indian nationals may have been affected, but no official confirmation has been issued so far.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the embassy is working with Qatari officials to verify the reports and determine whether any Pakistani workers Qatar were among those killed or injured in the Qatar gas plant accident.
Embassy in touch with community
The Pakistan embassy Qatar is also contacting members of the Pakistanis in Qatar community to gather accurate information.
According to early reports from community sources, at least three Pakistani nationals injured have been identified, but authorities are still verifying the details.
Local media reported that the Qatar industrial fire may have claimed the lives of both Pakistani and Indian workers Qatar.
However, the Pakistan Foreign Office stressed that these reports remain unconfirmed until Qatari officials release an official statement.
