26 civilians were killed in a firing incident at the tourist destination of Pahalgam in occupied Kashmir, which India blamed on Pakistan without any investigation.
In an interview, former Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram said, "Why does the Indian government believe that the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam incident came from Pakistan? Has the Modi government confirmed that these terrorists are Pakistanis? Does it have any evidence that the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam incident came from Pakistan?"
The former Indian Home Minister added that the attackers were also Indians and it is possible that they received terrorist training in India.

He said that why is the Modi government not telling what investigations the National Investigation Agency has conducted in this matter so far? The Modi government does not have the courage to conduct a transparent investigation into the Pahalgam attack.
Former Indian Home Minister Chidambaram said that the Modi government is also hiding the losses incurred during the war. In wars, losses occur on both sides, and India must also have had to bear losses.
P Chidambaram said, "Why are we saying that Donald Trump had no role in the ceasefire? If Donald Trump had a role in the ceasefire, why don t we admit it? No country, including India s neighbors, has said that Pakistan committed aggression. The Shanghai Corporation, BRICS and SAARC have also not mentioned Pakistan s name."
It should be noted that the Pakistani government not only condemned the Pahalgam incident, but Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also offered all possible cooperation to India for a transparent and impartial investigation. However, despite this, India has not been able to move beyond the allegations against Pakistan regarding the Pahalgam incident, nor has the investigation into the matter been completed.
