
The aircraft had departed Kochi at 9:31am IST (9:01am PKT) after a layover, carrying 157 passengers and six crew members. The Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) revealed that the bomb threat was delivered via an email to their official account.
Fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated upon landing, confirmed Deputy Commissioner of Police Lohit Matani in Nagpur. Initial checks by security personnel yielded no suspicious items, though a full investigation is underway.

Authorities classified the threat as “specific” following a meeting of the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC), triggering strict emergency procedures.
The string of incidents has raised serious concerns over aviation security in and around India, especially with threats being consistently sent via email.
