The United States is considering a range of strong measures against Iran, including potential military action, as President Donald Trump warned that Tehran is crossing Washington’s red lines amid rising unrest.

Speaking on the escalating situation, President Trump said the US administration is reviewing “powerful options” in response to developments in Iran, stressing that military action is also among the options under consideration. He added that the matter related to Iran is being closely monitored by the US military.

In broader remarks, Trump said the United States could help restore internet services in Iran and indicated he would speak with tech entrepreneur Elon Musk on the issue. He also said Washington is evaluating multiple options in light of growing instability inside Iran.

The US president further commented on international affairs, saying a deal regarding Greenland “should be made,” while also noting that discussions are underway about acquiring the territory. Trump also said cooperation with Venezuela’s leadership was progressing positively and expressed hope for favorable outcomes, adding that he is expected to meet Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Earlier, President Trump had stated that the United States is ready to support the Iranian people. In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, he said Iran is “looking toward freedom like never before,” and the US stands prepared to help.

In another recent statement, Trump warned that if people are killed in Iran, the United States would intervene. However, he clarified that such intervention would not necessarily involve deploying US troops on Iranian soil.

Trump said the US is closely watching the situation in Iran, claiming that in some cities, people appear to have taken control. He accused the Iranian government of mistreating its citizens for years and said the current unrest is a consequence of those policies.

Meanwhile, tensions in Iran continue to escalate. According to a report by Time magazine, violent protests over rising inflation have erupted across multiple Iranian cities, resulting in widespread vandalism. The report said mosques and hospitals were damaged, and at least 217 people have been killed during the unrest.
