Trump rejects uranium enrichment as Iran talks continue, says no level of enrichment should be allowed.
US President Donald Trump has expressed dissatisfaction over ongoing negotiations with Iran, stating that Tehran should not be allowed to enrich uranium at any level.
Speaking at a public address in Texas, Trump said Iran wants permission to carry out limited uranium enrichment, but he made it clear that such a demand is unacceptable. He stressed that Iran is not offering what the United States expects from the negotiations.
Trump noted that although diplomatic discussions will continue, he is not pleased with the current progress. According to him, Iran has not moved forward to the extent required, calling the situation “regrettable.”

The US administration has long maintained that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons capability remains a top priority. Uranium enrichment is a sensitive issue because it can be used for civilian nuclear energy but also for developing nuclear weapons if processed to higher levels.
While Trump did not announce any immediate policy changes, his remarks signal a tougher stance and growing impatience within Washington over the pace and direction of the talks.
Analysts believe the latest statement could further complicate efforts to revive a broader nuclear understanding between the two countries.
