Former US President Donald Trump has refused to apologize to Pope Leo, intensifying a public dispute over Iran and global political issues.

In his latest remarks, Trump said he would not offer any apology, claiming that the Pope’s statements regarding Iran were “incorrect.” He criticized the religious leader for opposing his policies, particularly on nuclear issues involving Iran.

Trump stated that he does not support the idea of a leader who believes Iran should be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He emphasized that a nuclear-armed Iran is unacceptable and poses a serious threat to global security.

The former president also accused the Pope of being weak on crime and other key matters, adding that such positions are not suitable for leadership. Trump further commented on the Pope’s family, mentioning that his brother supports the MAGA narrative and describing him as a “good man,” even saying he prefers him over the Pope.

The remarks have sparked debate internationally, as tensions between political and religious figures rarely escalate to such a public level.
