Lauren Bennett laid to rest after tragic death at 36
Family members, close friends and former bandmates gathered for the Lauren Bennett funeral, which was held privately around a week and a half ago.
The emotional ceremony celebrated the singer’s life as loved ones paid their final respects.
During the Lauren Bennett funeral, guests wrote heartfelt messages on balloons before releasing them into the sky in her memory.
A tribute display featuring her photograph carried the message: “Celebrating the Life of Lauren Bennett. Forever Loved. Forever With Us.”
The Party Rock Anthem singer death has drawn global attention because Lauren Bennett rose to international fame after appearing on LMFAO’s 2011 hit “Party Rock Anthem,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks.
According to official coroner records, Lauren Bennett death occurred on May 29 in Kent, England.
A formal inquest has been scheduled for October 30 to examine the circumstances surrounding her passing. Authorities have not yet announced her cause of death.
Former members of GRL confirmed the heartbreaking news through a joint statement, saying they were devastated by the loss.
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” the statement read. “Our hearts are broken, and we will forever cherish the love, laughter and memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives.”
Beyond her success with “Party Rock Anthem,” Lauren Bennett was also a member of GRL, the pop group created by Robin Antin. The group recorded “Vacation” for The Smurfs 2 soundtrack and later collaborated with Pitbull on “Wild Wild Love.” Their hit “Ugly Heart” also achieved international success.

Earlier in her career, Bennett performed with The Paradiso Girls, whose single “Patron Tequila” featuring Lil Jon and Eve gained worldwide attention.
The Party Rock Anthem singer death comes nearly 12 years after fellow GRL member Simone Battle passed away.
Following that tragedy, the group released the tribute song “Lighthouse” before officially disbanding in 2015.
Lauren Bennett’s final Instagram post appeared in February, showing her performing Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”
She is survived by her six-year-old daughter, Harlow, whom she shared with dancer and actor Kenny Wormald.
