(Web Desk): A mysterious pyramid-shaped structure spotted on Mars has captured the attention of scientists and space enthusiasts, raising fresh questions about the planet’s past.

The unusual formation is believed to be located in the western part of Candor Chasma, one of the largest valleys on the Red Planet. Images of the structure show a shape that appears similar to a pyramid, adding to a growing list of strange features observed on Mars over the years.

In the past, researchers have pointed out formations that resemble objects such as helmets and doorways, often leading to speculation about whether an ancient civilization could have once existed there.

The pyramid-like structure was first highlighted in 2001 by researcher Keith Laney, who studied footage provided by NASA. At the time, he suggested that if such a formation were found on Earth, it would likely attract immediate scientific investigation.

More recently, filmmaker Brian Dobbins shared the images again on social media, claiming the structure could be slightly larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza.

However, scientists caution that such formations are often the result of natural geological processes and lighting effects, rather than evidence of past life.

While there is no proof linking the structure to any form of civilization, the discovery has renewed interest in Mars exploration and the ongoing search for signs of life.
