WhatsApp to introduce new “Liquid Glass” update
WhatsApp is working on a visual refresh to make the app look more modern and cleaner to its viewer. Although Meta has not officially announced it, early signs of this WhatsApp update appeared in beta versions in late 2025.
The new design seems inspired by Apple’s “Liquid Glass” style. This WhatsApp Liquid Glass design includes small but noticeable changes in the app’s interface and chat screen, giving it a smoother and more polished look.
Recent reports suggest that WhatsApp is close to launching a redesigned in-chat experience. While it is still not available to most beta users, early previews show some interesting updates under this WhatsApp update.
One of the biggest changes is a floating chat bar, which could make messaging easier and more interactive. Another feature is a translucent navigation bar that gives the app a cleaner and more modern appearance, highlighting the WhatsApp Liquid Glass design.

Even with these exciting updates, users may need to wait a bit longer. Reports indicate that Meta is planning a slow rollout to make sure everything works perfectly before releasing it worldwide.
Because of this careful testing process, the new design will likely be introduced gradually after final improvements are completed.
