Mobile call and internet packages become more expensive in Pakistan after PTA approval

Mobile users across Pakistan will now have to pay more for call and internet packages after the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) approved revised tariffs. Mobile companies have increased the prices of several call, data, and hybrid packages, affecting millions of subscribers.

According to the new tariff details, the prices of mobile packages have increased by 19 to 33 percent compared to last year. Monthly call and internet packages have become up to Rs500 more expensive, making regular mobile usage costlier for many consumers.

The revised rates also affect shorter-duration bundles. Prices of 15-day call and data packages have increased by up to Rs300, while weekly hybrid packages now cost up to Rs130 more than before.

Mobile companies have also raised the prices of three-day packages by up to Rs21, two-day packages by up to Rs20, and one-day hybrid packages by up to Rs5. These changes apply to a wide range of prepaid offers used by customers across the country.

PTA has published updated tariff sheets for 15 hybrid and data-only packages on its website. The revised sheets include the latest package prices, validity periods, quarterly rates, and the complete details of the services and benefits offered to customers.

The latest increase means users may need to review their current mobile plans and compare available options before purchasing their next call or internet package.
