(Web Desk): PS6 price has been predicted to reach $1,000 at launch in 2028, raising concerns among gamers over rising next-gen console costs.

The expected PS6 price is making headlines after fresh reports suggested that Sony’s PlayStation 6 could launch with a $1,000 price tag in 2028.

The prediction has raised concern among gamers, especially as gaming consoles continue to become more expensive.

According to analysts, the possible PS6 price increase is linked to rising component costs, manufacturing expenses, and currency fluctuations.

These same factors are already affecting current-generation consoles, with Sony’s PS5 Pro now reportedly costing around $900 in the United States after a recent price hike.

The report also said that Microsoft’s next Xbox console, currently known as Project Helix, may also launch at a similar high price.

Experts believe next-generation gaming may become more expensive overall, making premium consoles less accessible for average buyers.

While the PS6 price prediction is not official yet, it has already sparked debate among gaming fans online.

Many gamers are worried that a four-figure console could make next-gen gaming harder to afford, while others believe strong features and performance may still attract buyers. Both the PS6 and the next Xbox are currently expected to launch around 2028.
