Fresh leaks about Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone, widely called the iPhone Fold, have surfaced online. Reports suggest the device may launch in September together with the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
According to well-known tipster Instant Digital on the Chinese platform Weibo, the foldable iPhone could arrive in three different storage options. The same leak also shared possible pricing details for the Chinese market.

The base model with 256GB storage is expected to cost CNY15,999. Meanwhile, the 512GB version could be priced at CNY17,999, while the 1TB model may reach CNY19,999, making it one of Apple’s most expensive smartphones.
When these prices are roughly converted into US dollars, the starting price comes close to $2,330. This estimate is similar to earlier rumours suggesting that Apple’s foldable device will be positioned as a premium product.
However, experts at Macworld believe the final price in the United States could be different. Apple usually uses its own pricing formula instead of direct currency conversion. Based on the price gap between the iPhone 17 Pro in the US and China, analysts expect the iPhone Fold to start at around $1,999 in the US market.
Another report from The Bell has revealed new details about the phone’s internal memory. According to the report, Apple has placed an order with Samsung Electronics to supply DRAM chips for the device.

The foldable iPhone is expected to feature 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, which could provide stronger performance and smoother multitasking.
Despite these leaks, Apple has not officially confirmed the existence of the foldable iPhone or its specifications. More details are likely to emerge as the expected launch period approaches.
Foldable phones are becoming popular in the smartphone market. Apple’s entry could increase competition in this segment. However, the high price may limit how many users can afford the device.
