Pakistani youth now have a golden opportunity to win up to Rs2.5 million as the government officially launches the “Vibe Coding Contest 2026,” a unique national-level competition aimed at promoting innovation and digital skills.
The initiative has been introduced by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication in collaboration with Google for Developers, marking a significant step toward strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem.
Part of ‘AI Seekho 2026’ Vision
The contest is part of the government’s broader vision titled “AI Seekho 2026,” designed to foster a strong culture of artificial intelligence across Pakistan. The program aims to equip students and professionals with cutting-edge AI tools and techniques to compete globally.
Officials say this initiative will help nurture local talent and align Pakistan’s tech workforce with international standards.
Opportunities for Developers and Coders
Participants demonstrating exceptional performance in the competition will compete for a total prize pool of Rs2.5 million. Beyond financial rewards, the contest offers valuable exposure to real-world challenges and global tech practices.
According to officials, collaboration with Google is expected to play a transformative role in reshaping Pakistan’s digital landscape and empowering young developers.

How the Competition Works
Interested developers can register through the official “AI Seekho 2026” portal. The competition will be held in three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, where shortlisted participants will present their innovative projects.
The first phase will run from April 11 to May 3, during which participants will complete an online challenge using Google AI Studio to build apps and games.
Free Program with Global Exposure
The program is completely free of cost and provides participants with cloud credits, mentorship, and access to global developer communities. It also offers a rare chance to learn directly from Google experts.

Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja praised the initiative, stating that it aims to transform Pakistan into an “AI-powered economy.” She emphasized that equipping youth with modern digital skills is key to accelerating national growth.
